Sharon Hill of Sharon Hill International Presents at Triangle Symposium

Local Organization Hosts Event to Improve Professional Networking

Sharon Hill, president of Sharon Hill International, announced that she was asked by The Triangle Urban League Young Professionals to participate as a panelist for the “Triangle Professionals Symposium: Strategic Networking for Fruitful Relationships.” The event took place at the Council for Entrepreneurial Development in Research Triangle Park on Thursday, June 26.

The symposium was held in partnership with the local chapters of the African-American Business League, National Association of Black Accountants, National Black MBA Association, National Society of Black Engineers, and Urban Financial Services Coalition.

The event was intended to help young professionals understand the importance and meaning of networking. Tips on how to expand a network by taking advantage of the benefits associated within a current network were also provided.

Sharon Hill International specializes in services such as etiquette training, motivational speaking, and diversity training. Hill is acknowledged as an authority on American business etiquette for companies, organizations, and even individuals. She always looks forward to speaking at her high-energy and interactive seminars.  “I’m absolutely thrilled to have had the honor of speaking at this symposium,” Hill said.

The question and answer session was moderated by Yolanda Brown, president of the Triangle Urban League Young Professionals. The panelists included Hill, Bill Davis of Team Nimbus, and Brett Chambers of National Black MBA Association-RDU. After the discussion, participants made use of their newly acquired skills by networking with strangers. It was predicted that participants would leave with six or seven new, valuable connections.
