Sharon Hill Elected Toastmasters 2010 North Carolina District Governor


Professional Speaker and Etiquette Trainer Appointed to Top NC Position in Toastmasters International Club

Sharon Hill, president of Sharon Hill International, has announced her appointment to the position of North Carolina Toastmasters International District Governor. Starting July 1, Hill will begin serving as the state’s chief executive officer, overseeing the activities of Toastmasters International clubs throughout North Carolina.

Toastmasters International is a worldwide nonprofit organization that prepares members by helping them become more experienced and comfortable in front of audiences. Organization members meet weekly, learning and practicing public speaking skills, such as delivering a prepared speech or demonstrating an impromptu performance.

“I feel so privileged to have this leadership opportunity,” said Hill. “Toastmasters is an organization I’ve always supported and been passionately involved with, so to play such a large role in their administrative process is like a dream come true.”

As North Carolina’s acting chief executive officer, Hill will direct the district in a way that fosters strong clubs, produces maximum growth in educational completions and memberships, and is consistent with the interests of Toastmasters International. Hill will strive to achieve the district mission in a manner that motivates volunteer leaders and promotes a standard of excellence in all district activities.
